The hull form of the 440 gives speed under sail, easy motion and sure predictable handling - with conservative, sea friendly hull form. She has a very low center of gravity for the greatest stability in harsh weather. Representing the ideal cruising shape, the stem is raked to prevent damange when deploying or retrieving the anchor along with the additional flare and buoyancy providing dryer decks.
