The Finya 54 is a wonderful example of a true blue water cruiser. She is the next generation of the Skye 51 and she was built at the same boat yard, Mau Ta in Taiwan as the Skye's but has an extended transom and her construction was upgraded to a foam core. The Mau Ta shipyard has also built such notable boats as the Brewer 46 Pilothouse, Brewer 42 Pilothouse and the Union 36.
This particular vessel is loaded with cruising gear and built to cruise. She has proven her seaworthiness as her current owners have sailed her from the Islands to New England every year via Bermuda. She is only for sale as the owner's cruising plans are changing.

There is only ONE "MORNING STAR"
There is nothing else like her.
She is unique unto herself. She has had only two owners, the designer and her current owenrs. The two parties have worked closely together over the years to maintain MORNING STAR and recently went through a major refit, converting her from a displacement vessel of 11 knots to an 18 knot planning vessel. Hinckley in Maine performed the upgrade meticulously with Cap. Norman Sanborn overseeing every aspect of the project, taking almost a year. That involved, among other things, removing the 4-71 Detroit naturally aspirated 140 HP diesels and installing Cummins six cylinder in-line 500 HP diesels, associated shafting, struts, etc., tripling the horsepower. She now is a fuel efficient trawler at 10 knots but has the capability of running up for faster passages, running from weather, etc., or cruising all day at 16 knots. And low hours on the engines.
While Hinckley Marine was involved in the project, they inspected every aspect of the vessel and made any necessary upgrades and repairs, including a new hydraulic davit system allowing for a larger tender, new Awlgrip paint all around and new varnish. The list goes on and on. So, though this fiberglass vessel was built in 1979, she has been maintained and refitted extensively as befits a custom, one of a kind successful design, similar to the loving care given a wood classic design.
This unique vessel is not suited for the average amateur yachtsman. If you are looking at Hatteras 65' Motor Yachts you need not take a look at MORNING STAR. If you appreciate the unique design of this vessel which by the way is being cruised by her owner's now, would be happy to forward more information and photographs, and arrange a preview.

Remarks
MORNING STAR under went a full 1 year refit in 2000 at the Hinckley Yard in Maine. During this time both engines were removed and replaced along with the transmissions. The vessels plywood and teak decks were removed and also replaced along with some of the insides of the bulwarks. All windows were removed and replaced. On the interior, the carpet was replaced as well as numerous appointments including all countertops. The pilothouse saw a major upgrade in electronics and all the wiring in the engine rooms were replaced along with new sound insulation. The watermaker was also new at this time as well as the yacht's air-conditioning. Overall, more than $1,200,000 was spent.
MORNING STAR is a very unique yacht with the interior volume feeling more like an 85' footer compared to a 65' footer. She is in excellent condition, having been professionally maintained by her second long term owner. She offers tremendous range and sea keeping abilities. A perfect yacht for those seeking a safe long range cruiser capable of making it in and out of the smallest of harbors and coves. A truly special offering.

OVATION
42' Braginton Luxury High Performance Yacht
Builder: Braginton
Year: 1987
LOA: 44'8"
Engine: Caterpillar Silver Anniversary Edition 3208TA
Draft: 3'4" HP: 375
Listing Price: $289,000
Located in Seattle, WA
"Ovation" has just been reduced to $289,000 from $329,000 on 8.9.2007
The Braginton 42 is the ultimate statement in good taste, classic beauty and state of the art construction technology. The Braginton's Nara rosewood laminated hull sides, polished stainless hardware and teak decks give it a nostalgic look that is reminiscent of vintage wood power boats of the 1950's, only the Braginton is built on a modern fiberglass hull. Her interior décor is of the futuristic Art Deco period, a time influenced by speed, chrome, black mirror finishes and unrestrained opulence.
If you are looking for a unique and distinctive yacht; a one of kind that will turn heads in every marina, then this is the one. M/V "Ovation" is a perfect combination of speed and elegance. She is powered by twin silver anniversary edition Cat diesels with chrome valve and intake covers (375 hp) housed in a standup engine room. The Braginton 42 is equipped with twin carbon fiber 5 blade speed props for maximum performance. She features a teak hydraulic swim platform for launching her replica jet tender, "Encore", and a hot tub spa for entertaining which is neatly hidden under the deck just forward of the transom. Even though she is a glass boat "Ovation" has been featured in the book, Classic Wooden Motor Yachts and in Motor Boating and Sailing magazine. She is listed in the Guinness book of world records as the largest rosewood object in the world and she is guaranteed to win prizes in any wooden boat show.
"Ovation's" graceful high performance hull lines were drawn by renowned Brazilian marine architect Luiz de Basto who also designed yachts for Riva. Howard Apollonio an accomplished west coast marine architect, did the structural engineering and tested the design at Boeing with their computers. At the time he was working with Boeing designing high speed assault boats for the US Navy. "Ovation" is capable of 40 mph top speed and cruises easily at 35 mph with a 400 mile range. The hull has 22 degrees dead rise amidships and 17 degrees in the stern. The fiberglass hull is built of Knytex unidirectional cloth for incredible strength with an Airex foam core (¾' sides and 1' bottom) laminated with Syntex isothalic resin for osmosis protection. The 3/16' rose wood exterior skin on the hull is laminated with West System epoxy and fiberglass. "Ovation" was originally custom built for Ed and Dee Dee Teren of Sun Valley by Transworld Boatbuilding in Taiwan.
"Ovation's" interior is elegantly finished in ebony, rosewood and teak with black granite counter tops, crème leather upholstery and polished stainless steel Italian fixtures. Her interior is by Brazilian designer Luiz Avilliz. The interior is planned around the galley as if preparing fine meals is the primary reason for going below. The galley is along the port side and features a 4 burner Gaggenau flush top 4 burner range and GE Monogram convection microwave oven. The boat is surprisingly open and roomy inside with a circular dinette, generous double V berth forward and aft there is a TV parlor lounge under the cockpit with inward facing leather settees which convert to a double berth. The head has a stall shower, black granite counters, matching black Vacu-flush marine head and a gorgeous Art Deco mirror vanity. "Ovation" displays a level of craftsmanship which is breathtaking. This is especially notable in the circular ebony and rosewood dinette table is inlaid with mother of pearl in the shape of a conch shell. Throughout the vessel's interior there is mounted artwork that tastefully reflects the boats seashell motif.
On deck the cockpit has a double helm seat with a reversible pivoting seat back that converts it to a dinette in an instant. A clear coated custom aluminum radar arch supports a bimini and full cockpit enclosure made of matching silver Stamoid fabric. The center window frame is hinged to open out onto the foredeck for sunbathing and for access to the windlass. "Ovation's" rumble seat hot tub spa is ideal for entertaining or relaxing and it's conveniently located just aft of the cockpit. You'll be the envy of all the boats in the anchorage when you're relaxing in the spa with a glass of wine shrouded in steam.
If you are looking for a unique and distinctive high performance yacht; the type of boat James Bond would own, then the Braginton 42 is well worth your consideration. "Ovation" is elegantly finished, robustly built and extensively equipped. She represents an excellent value at $289,000 which is only a fraction of replacement cost.

65' Roscioli/Donzi 63 Enclosed Bridge
Year: 1996
Listing Price: $1,000,000
Location: West Palm Beach, Florida
This 65 sportfish was built when the 72 footers were at their height of popularity. Roscioli used a lot of the technology from the 72 in this 65.
She has a circular staircase which takes you from the salon to the flybridge and is an integral part of the flybridge structure. This Custom 65 has the two cabin layout. The master was built using the max beam of boat to give the owner's cabin the most space. In the forepeak is the guest VIP, with ensuite head/shower.
Repainted in 2006, she is ready to take you and your friends fishing.
