Built in Quebec, Canada for the Canadian Coast Guard for use as a buoy tender and sounding vessel. Designed and constructed for light-duty ice breaking and the first 30 years of service was operating year round in fresh water on the St. Lawrence Sea Way. Originally accommodating a crew of 34, the vessel was sold to a U.S. buyer in 1993, at which time the conversion began with a number of cabins removed to make way for a large master cabin and main salon.Other changes included parquet teak sole added on the main deck level, and teak and holly sole added to the pilothouse and sky lounge deck level.
